Who we are

What we keep, and why

• Enquiries and quotes: your name, phone number, email, town or postcode, your message and any photos you send, so we can reply and quote. Kept for up to 3 years in case you come back to us.
• Showroom visits: your name, phone number, email and the time you booked, so we can expect you and send a reminder. Kept for 1 year.
• Training bookings and shop orders: your name, contact details, address for delivery, what you bought and what you paid, so we can run the course or send the goods, and because tax law asks us to keep records of sales for 6 years. Card details go straight to Stripe, our payment provider; we never see them.
• Gift vouchers: the buyer’s and recipient’s names and email addresses, and the message, for as long as the voucher can be spent.
• Your account and chat: your name, email, phone number if you give it, a scrambled version of your password (we can’t read it), and the messages between us, so we can answer you and you can see our replies. Kept until you delete your account.
• Reviews: if you agree, we may ask you by email or WhatsApp to leave a Google review after a job, a course or an order.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets a cookie only when you sign in to your account (to keep you signed in) or, for staff, to the admin. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

We count visits to see which pages are useful. The count records the page, the time, roughly where the visitor is (country and region, from the network address) and the kind of device. Each visitor is counted once a day using a scrambled code that can’t be turned back into who you are, and nothing is stored on your device.

Where our homepage shows live Google reviews, or a page plays an embedded video, Google or the video service may set its own cookies; their privacy notices apply to those.

Who else sees it

Only the people who work for us, and the services that run the website for us: our website host (Netlify), our email service (Resend) and, for payments, Stripe. They keep your information safe and use it only to provide their service to us. We never sell your details.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will unless the law says we must keep it (such as records of sales). You can delete your own account and chat at any time from your account page. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
